JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an excellent opportunity for a Vice President, Total Quality (Resource Center, Louisville, KY). The Vice President plays a vital and senior role at ResCare for our clients, customers, and employees. Our Vice President, Total Quality is responsible for leading our ResCare quality culture as well as establishing and maintaining all company-wide quality assurance and improvement systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsiblefor enhancing and championing all of ResCare’s system-wide quality assurance and improvement, programs and initiatives.  Develop quality strategy to drive excellence across the organization’s business lines
  • Oversee the duties/functions necessary to assure regulatory and accreditation compliance
  • Establish indicators for monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of care/service, assess for continued improvement in indicator activities, and monitor customer satisfaction
  • Works collaboratively with key leaders towards identification of opportunities for improvement, trend analysis, education and development of appropriate action plans and problem resolution.
  • Identify any organizational quality gaps and selects and implements appropriate strategies to address gaps.
  • Ensure the provision of  resources, clinical experts, technical assistance and support for program operations
  • Collect and analyze key data to identify, evaluate and reduce risks to individual’s we support
  • Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures around quality services
  • Establishes and drives the technical training agenda and competency requirements for all ResCare employees.
  • Serves as a liaison with external standards organizations and regulatory groups to ensure we continue to meet and exceed required quality standards and expectations.
  • Drives all aspects of our ResCare customer survey process including efficient execution, interpretation of results, and recommendations.
  • Builds, coaches, and enhances the capability of our Quality Assurance and Training team/organization
  • Collaborates with other business areas within the organization to ensure all workflow processes and interdependencies are identified and addressed on an ongoing basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree and comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards and quality systems
  • Minimum eight (8)years of increasing leadership experience in a quality role
  • An intensity and passion for quality outcomes and customer service
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in health care, managed care or human services
  • A proven catalyst or change agent for breakthrough quality and customer initiatives
  • Ability to oversee complex problem analysis and resolution at a strategic level
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; a skilled communicator and influencer
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage for outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Position based in Louisville Kentucky
  • Position requires travel
