JOB DESCRIPTION

One of Collabera's top tier clients - Nation's Leading Financial Institution is looking for Citrix Support Engineer.

We are the Tier One Vendor for the client, and we are directly working with the client (no layers).


Job Title:                                             Citrix Support Engineer


Work Location (on-site):              Charlotte, NC


Duration:
                                            6-18 months contract

Job Description:

Specific roles & responsibilities:

-- Production support of hosting environment for virtual desktops published via Citrix.

-- Build and provision base VM images from templates

-- Build and provision Citrix scripts in SVN for working with subversion repositories

-- Handle escalated infrastructure issues from CIG Fixed Incomes/ CIG Desk Support teams

-- Monitor performance, utilization and capacity of the environment

-- Perform releases and break-fixes of the production components following enterprise change control and production release guidelines

-- Hours of support: EST business hours with off-hour/weekend on duty and on-call responsibilities


Job Description:

The Citrix/Infrastructure Engineer leads and participates in design, development and implementation of Citrix systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems and application configurations , network design and data centre capabilities for high availability DR failover . Assists in establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides technical knowledge and capabilities to advise on hardware and software purchases. Typically 7 or more years of systems engineering experience.

This role is critical client interfacing support role with the Corporate Investments Trade Desk and Trade Desk Support and requires nothing less than outstanding customer service skills. The expectation is that the candidate will quickly ramp up to be knowledgeable of the current business applications and processes This position directly supports and interfaces with Bank IT team peers such as Tier 1 Support, Enterprise Citrix Support, Information Security and other internal bank units and external vendors. considered Application Support. Ideal candidate should have strong OS support with Unix, Linux and/or Windows, experience with job scheduling tools, strong scripting knowledge (Examples include Perl, Korn, Shell, etc), experience with general Trading Markets knowledge and how the Citrix environment support Trading Markets.


What are the top three skills required? Clarify minimum requirements.

Answer:  University degree in the field of computer science, engineering or information systems. Citrix Certified Administrator certification (current). Advanced knowledge in Windows Server and networking technologies such as Windows 2008, Active Directory 2008 and Exchange 2010 / 2013 including systems administration, optimization, and industry best practices in general

How many years of experience are required?

Answer:  A minimum of 7 years of strong technical IT infrastructure/systems experience, including experience in providing technical support to end-users directly. A minimum of 5 years of good experience working on and in various Citrix technologies and environments such as XenApp, and XenDesktop, Citrix Secure Gateway/Access Gateway, NetScaler, Citrix License Server, MS Terminal Server

Any specific industry background/education/company experience that you are looking for?

Answer:  University degree in the field of computer science, engineering or information systems. Previous banking experience is a huge plus
