The Product Engineering Center of Excellence (PECOE) leader for Power Generation will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within the Power Generation engineering organization, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
Lead a 70+ person engineering and technology team in developing proposals, performing design, testing, qualification and support of electrical generation and control products for aviation applications
Meet metrics for on time project delivery, budget, product cost, productivity and quality for both new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining support of existing products
Build technical capability by recruiting and growing human resources and the engineering tools capability in modeling, simulation and systems design for generation systems
Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives while providing overall leadership and administrative management for the engineering team
Contribute to the overall business strategy by developing multi-generational product and technology roadmaps with the product team
Develop and maintain a productive working climate, promoting teamwork and cross-functional efforts
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or collegeMinimum 5 additional years of experience as an Engineering leader
Strong business and technical acumenStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Technical Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering from an accredited college or universityTechnical background in Power, Power Electronics or Generation – specifically in the areas of electromagnetic rotating equipment, motor starters and control, power electronics, electrical power conversion and distributionDemonstrated results while working in a matrix organization
