Performs all functions related to timely, clean billing and collections for reimbursement of services, accuracy of payment posting and system file maintenance for all patient accounts in accordance with Federal and State rules and regulations and agency policies and procedures.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Insurance rules and regulations. Must have knowledge of computer inquiry, input and proof benefits. Must have knowledge of mathematical computations required to calculate discounts, contractual allowances, etc. Minimum two years of collection experience. This experience should include general knowledge of all product line issues in a full service home health company. Must have experience with third party billing rules and regulations and knowledge of home health PPS reimbursement issues and opportunities.
