Job Description

IN Marketing Services is the marketing division of Advantage Sales and Marketing, the largest Sales and Marketing Agency in North America. Our focus is on influencing buyer behavior and driving sales through shopper marketing, experiential marketing, in-store event services and more. Job Purpose
 
The Sr. Account Executive functions as a leader for all daily sales activities for the client-based marketing services and aligns daily activities to the company's strategic goals. Primary role is selling in-store sampling programs (events) to top CPG companies or (Customer Merchant Team). Responsible for successfully developing and increasing in-store event volume and collaborating with retail client's merchandising management team to maximize sampling events by category. Results will be obtained through effective strategic planning, influence building, communication, concept development and use of resources.
 
Job Responsibilities
 
Creating and Closing Opportunities
  • Research and target prospects/opportunities, conduct interest building calls when applicable, and gain client interest.
  • Clearly identify client expectations and use the knowledge of alternatives to reach mutually agreed deliverables; effectively ensure deliverables are communicated to and measured by the Client Services team
  • Qualify opportunities, develop innovative winning proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations to expand sales.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Account Services team on developing new value for clients.
Protecting Accounts
  • Gather and monitor account intelligence, and document account plans and sales forecasts.
  • Develop and own assigned relationships that build a trust-based partnership with client teams, partners and vendors.
  • Cultivate, protect and expand accounts. 
  • Resolve sales or delivery issues.
  • Manage deployment readiness and resource alignment.
Maintaining Accounts
  • Craft agreements and formal documents in securing new business.
  • Successfully present reports to all necessary stakeholders to review and improve business impact.
Job Requirements
  • Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Experience 3-5 years of work experience in sales or sales support role.
Skills & Competencies
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively to deliver on mutual client and retailer objectives.
  • Creative self-starter with strong organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present to large and small groups in a variety of settings.

Environmental & Physical Requirements
 
Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
