JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking talented Senior Risk Analyst - Process Management for our San Antonio, TX facility. 

PURPOSE OF JOB

This role is responsible for the project oversight and process optimization of Stress Testing program including incorporating industry best practices, documentation, process governance etc. This role sits in the Risk Management organization and reports to the Director of Stress Testing. Responsibilities: • Annual Stress Testing project planning and oversight. • Oversees the entire project life cycle of detailed project plans using standard project methodology. • Develops and presents written project plans. • Evaluates and provides written and verbal updates on project and change management reporting. • Establishes milestones as needed for reporting to appropriate management levels. • Communicates budget and status milestones as defined for the project. • Monitors project progress towards project goals. • Make needed adjustments in plans to meet milestones and to achieve goals. • Facilitates and documents lessons learned on projects to use on future projects. • Oversee multiple business line stakeholders. • Resource and Capacity management. • Identify, integrate, and manage required internal and external resources. • Works collaboratively with other project teams, which consists of members reporting to functional managers within the Business Group, third party vendors, and consultants. • Facilitates and leads project meetings. • Process Management of stress testing. • Assist in the preparation of Capital Plan and other Federal Reserve/ OCC/ FDIC submissions. • Identify data controls and business/regulatory rules associated with regulatory submission. • Process flows and controls documentation. • Recommends enhancement to infrastructure. • Assist in the preparation of reports, data templates and presentations as needed. • Assist in complying with changes to the regulatory requirements.
Provides risk management support for a line of business or staff agency in key risk identification, measurement and aggregation, and the understanding and management of risk through appropriate practices and processes. Assesses and mitigates enterprise and business un exposures through the identification of key and emerging risks and evaluates alignment with risk strategy and appetite. Monitors the risk and control environment to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels and may consult on risk mitigation plans.

JOB DUTIES

  • Process Management of stress testing:
    • Assist in the preparation of Capital Plan and other Federal Reserve/ OCC/ FDIC submissions
    • Identify data controls and business/regulatory rules associated with regulatory submission
    • Process flows and controls documentation
    • Recommends enhancement to infrastructure
    • Assist in the preparation of reports, data templates and presentations as needed
    • Assist in complying with changes to the regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with key stakeholders in the business to identify, assess, aggregate and document risks and controls, including risks associated with new or modified products, services, distribution channels, regulations and third party operations using advanced knowledge. Presents findings to various levels of leadership. Communicates results of risk assessments to governance committees, business process owners and various levels of leadership.
  • Implements new risk policies, practices, appetites and solutions to ensure holistic understanding and management of risks according to industry best practice. Enhances and contributes to strategies, tools, and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report risks.
  • Applies advanced knowledge to utilize or produce analytical material for discussions with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.
  • Serves as a key contributor in cross-functional teams to identify, assess, aggregate and mitigate current and emerging risk events.
  • Effectively contributes to projects that impact the organization. Serves as a key contributor on projects that may impact the enterprise or a core operating area.
  • Formulates stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise including the evaluation of results, and framing of contingency plans in partnership with key business stakeholders. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance or other related field or four years of directly related work experience (in lieu of a degree) required.
  • 5 years risk management/policy experience OR 5 years operations experience in a relevant functional area to include banking, insurance, financial services, audit, project management, public accounting, and/or compliance OR advanced degree or designation in a quantitative discipline relevant to risk management and 4+ years relevant risk management work experience OR PhD in a quantitative discipline and 2+ years relevant risk management work experience

Preferred

  • Master's/Advanced Degree.
  • Experience in Treasury, Finance, or Risk Management, particularly in the areas of capital planning, regulatory reporting, or financial planning and budgeting.
  • Ability to manage, influence stakeholders & prioritize projects & programs.
  • Ability to work across multiple with all levels of management/leadership.
  • PMP or Six Sigma certification.
  • Annual Stress Testing project management experience.
  • Risk management experience in a complex institution and/or highly matrixes environment related to banking, insurance or financial services.
  • Experience documenting processes and/or experience in a control environment such as internal audit or compliance.
  • Experience managing complex processes to include process engineering or project management experience.
  • Industry-related analytical experience in actuarial, pricing, underwriting, corporate finance, or product management.
