I am currently seeking a motivated individual to work with my client's chip designs. This is a contract opportunity in Central Austin, TX.
The job will require the individual to design printed circuit boards. The design process consists of concept design, specification, component selection, schematic capture, layout direction, and first article testing. The individual will also be expected to work closely with Software Development, Hardware Development, and Applications groups to understand and solve cross functional design issues.
1. PCB design
2. STRONG software development
3. Board configuration
4. Board testing
5. Good communication skills
* Excellent understanding of analog and digital electronics
* Schematic Design and Capture
* Microcontroller design
* Knowledge of common interfaces (SPI, I2C, USB, and Ethernet)
* Ability to work independently and document work
* Must have good communication skills
Education and Experience
* 3+ years hardware design experience
* Relevant hardware design experience in the last year
* RF Design at the board level is a plus
* Experience with Cadence Allegro and Orcad a plus
