Job Description

Nashville, Tenn.-based Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, the world’s largest tire and rubber company.
Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand tires to address the needs of a broad range of customers, including consumers, automotive and commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers, and those in the agricultural, forestry and mining industries.

The companies are also engaged in retreading operations throughout the Western Hemisphere and produce air springs, roofing materials, and industrial fibers and textiles. The Bridgestone Americas family of companies also operates the world’s largest chain of automotive tire and service centers.

This position will assist/be responsible for all aspects in the analysis
of the various factors that might be used in developing business strategies to
enable the Integrated Consumer Tire Division to continue to increase revenues
and profits. 

This includes but is not limited to:
• Global and North American Economic Environment
• Consumer Tire Product / Market Segmentation
• Products,  pricing, customers, channels of distribution, etc
• Our sales volumes, top line revenues, COGS, OPEX  and operating profits
• Competitor Analysis
• Demand and Supply
The position will also assist in strategic   business planning, follow up and reporting of cross-functional and   cross-business unit initiatives, identify and assess major business   opportunities (both internal and external) with potential for any impact on   Consumer Tire Budgets and Mid / Long Term Strategic plans.  Additionally, the position will be   responsible for creating regular reports and presentations for consumption by   all levels of management. 
It is important that the incumbent   have the ability   to process complex or rapidly flowing information / ideas, access situations   and / or information, extract key issues and implications, determine who to   advise how to best move forward.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sales &
Marketing or Engineering plus 1 or more years of progressive experience in
areas of business, finance, sales & marketing or engineering.  Masters degree in any of the above fields
