Special Procedures Cardiac Cath Technologiest
Functions proficiently in all technical aspects of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory. Assists the cardiology team in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Performs a variety of duties including operation of radiolographic equipment and film developing equipment, electrophysiologic and hemodynamic recorder and computer.
High school diploma is required. Associate’s degree in cardiovascular medicine or completion of certification program for cardiovascular technology coursework required. A Bachelor's degree in cardiovascular medicine or related field d preferred. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by recognized credential body is required, or must obtain required credential within 6 months of hire. Three years experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist may be substituted for the Associate’s degree or certification program.
