Job Description



The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing is a marketing expert that will lead the Company in developing and managing customer engagement, improving brand health, and growing revenue and profit through digital channels and experiences. The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing understands customer needs, recognizes customer differences, in order to create a differentiated, unmistakable Republic Services brand and a top notch online experience for our customers. The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing will utilize his/her expertise in using digital technologies (web, mobile, email, social media, e-commerce, etc.), optimizing investments across digital channels (PPC, email, data-feeds, e-merchandising, e-promotions, SEO/SEM, social, etc.) and identifying the latest trends and tools to drive best-in-class execution.

• Maximizes value creation and capture from new web platforms.

• Identifies, assesses, and drives adoption of new tools, vehicles, and services to ensure Republic Services’ digital strategies and programs are superior to competitors, and suppliers and customers view the Company as an innovative thought leader.

• Delivers against targets by continually refining service, product, and pricing mix across Republic Services’ community, e-sales, and e-service platforms to maximize e-sales and e-service penetration while delivering noticeably superior customer experience.

• Leverages analytics to develop greater understanding of segment-specific customer behaviors and leverage insight into increasingly impactful campaigns.

• Continually and relentlessly drives organizational improvement and transformation, building internal capabilities, developing talent, and fostering a culture of innovation.

• Improves processes, planning and forecasting by channel: search, email, merchandising, affiliates, data-feeds, and digital promotion levers.

• Provides leadership, guidance, and coaching to the digital marketing team and agency to ensure continually improving output & engagement.

• Sets annual performance targets and leads annual performance reviews to help direct reports deliver superior performance and influences external vendors to meet performance milestones.

• Works with colleagues in Sales, Advertising, Brand, Product, IT, and Customer Experience teams to deliver shared goals.

• Builds and maintains channels of communication with field based General Manager and Sales Managers to ensure their input and needs are reflected in all customer facing digital programs and assets.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Job Requirements



Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, e-commerce, or digital marketing

• Minimum of 5 years managing an internal digital marketing team and external digital marketing agency, including SEO/SEM, data-feeds, aggregator sites, email, e-promotions, on-line advertising, merchandising, social media, and web analytics.

• Strong customer life cycle management experience in a high-volume, transactional business with a large, broad product portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master of Business Administration (MBA).

• Product management experience including taking a product/ service from concept to launch in a competitive market.

• B2B life cycle management experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Experience identifying emerging digital technologies and trends and developing innovative solutions that add significant value to customers.

• Ability to build organizational capabilities through process design, organizational development, recruiting, and training.

• Expertise working across a complex, globally matrix organization, communicating and influencing at all levels, including senior leaders, to manage expectations and ensure credibility and alignment.

• An agent of change, having introduced best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness, with a track record of engaging and enrolling stakeholders in new ideas.

• Well-versed in building, and gaining alignment to, a suite of reporting metrics that drive ROI and inform performance.

• Record of success balancing short & long-term business performance.

• A strong leader with excellent executive presence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to sell his/her vision/ideas; persuasive, well-organized, and compelling presenter.

• Highly motivated, results-oriented, self-starter who embraces a fast paced environment and is unfazed working with tight deadlines.
