JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking talented Business Manager I for our San Antonio, TX facility.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Under minimal supervision, this position serves as a business liaison to project sponsors and IT project delivery teams and is accountable for the implementation of IT development projects and solutions. Leads, manages or orchestrates activities towards the development and completion of business deliverables to include validating investments, developing, documenting project business requirements and assists with translating them into functional system specifications. Works with the business and IT project delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks to include business operational risks.

JOB DUTIES

  • Works independently or under minimal supervision on multiple mid to highly complex development projects impacting one function /CoSA or mulitple CoSAs or cross-functional processes.
  • Establishes direction by partnering with business sponsors, stakeholders, and IT Project Delivery to facilitate, define and document relevant business processes gaining understanding, needs, analysis, measures, and risk assessment of the improvement area.
  • Effectively leads the elicitation and documentation of business needs, requirements and solutions into work products in support of development projects, change control or application maintenance activity.
  • Coordinates, monitors and ensures traceability of approved and base lined work products through application specifications, design, development, usability, testing and implementation and defect prioritization.
  • Applies maturing knowledge of business manager tools and deliverables. Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
  • Acquires and applies broad knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
  • Resolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of financial services experience
  • 4+ years relevant, continuous experience in one of the following areas: process improvement, project management, business /requirements analysis, or business operations/product line experience
  • Familiarity or working knowledge with multiple technical software delivery life cycles
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of Business Management Methodology
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applicable databases
  • Working knowledge of Change Management theory and practices.  

Preferred

  • 5+ years of financial banking experience
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple technical software delivery life cycles and Business Management Methodology
  • Advanced knowledge of Change Management theory and practices
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of process engineering methodologies
  • Green Belt (six sigma philosophies) and Business Management trained or relevant experience.
