Job Description

Under the general direction of the Shared Business Services (SBS) Accounts Payable Lead, this role is responsible for management of the day to day operational activities of the P-Card program.  

- Bridgestone Americas PCard contact for American Express.
• Manage the PCard Application Process
• Training Cardholders before releasing Purchasing Cards.
• Training approvers before releasing Purchasing Card.
• Ensure Cardholder sign Purchasing Cardholder Agreement, signifying agreement with the terms of the Purchasing Card policy.
• Handling disputed charges/discrepancies not resolved by Cardholder or Department Liaison.
• Initiating change of Purchasing Card default account upon request of Department Liaison.
• Securing revoked Purchasing Cards and submitting information to American Express.
• Maintain transaction limit and review & adjust credit limit.
• Upload AmEx Extract file into SAP and trouble shoot when needed.
• Reviewing American Express's invoice, preparing for payment and submitting to treasury for Ach payment.
• Reconciling accounting statements as to payments to American Express and charges to individual departments.
• Reviewing usage of Purchasing Card data for appropriateness and for KPI reporting.
• Monitor approval of transactions by appropriate managers and report any non compliance.
• Assist Travel and Entertainment Lead to expand the card program.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous Purchasing Card administration experience required
Skills and Abilities:
• Must be a self-starter with proven track record for accounting, operations and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to take action, multi-task, and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Ensure all accounting records, policies, and practices are compliant with federal, state and local government laws and regulations as well as various regulatory agencies, and our client’s policy.
• Excellent teamwork skills and demonstrated ability to interact with and influence all levels and types of people.
• Assist user community with ad hoc reporting on Accounts Payable Vendor reports, and help resolve payment issues.
• Exceptional computer skills, including accounting systems knowledge of Excel specifically with the use of complex formulas and functions, to include but not limited to VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF and nested IF Statements.
• Within the ERP financial module, must be able perform GL Reconciliation
• Experience in SAP, PeopleSoft , Lawson or  TirePro preferred
