Position Summary:
Senior Staff would be primarily responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of government consulting engagements. These individuals will not only be expected to perform at a high level in regards to their technical abilities but should have the necessary skills to help develop other staff that may be new to the firm or the government practice. In addition to serving clients, these individuals should be comfortable with staff development and maintaining client relationships. A successful candidate will have a solid knowledge of audit procedures and standards as well as a working knowledge of the Committee on Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework.
Approximately 30% travel will be a part of this role as we continue to grow our expansion markets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Candidate should have the ability to interact with clients, prospects, all levels of staff, and colleagues in a professional fashion.
- Experience working in the government consulting sector preferred.
- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance.
- Licensed CPA or CPA candidate is required (or other designation) and 3-5 years’ experience.
- Familiar with Government accounting standards.
- Basic familiarity with the FAR, ADAIR, and CFR, would be beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks and to ensure work products are delivered in a complete and timely manner.
