Inbound Sales Representative - Part Time

Job Description


To perform inbound sales and related activities in a professional, courteous, reliable, attentive, honest and results-oriented manner utilizing multiple forms of communication (telephone, e-mail, voicemail, fax, live chat).


Handles inbound customer inquiries (telephone, e-mail, voicemail, fax, live chat), assists all customers, identifies their needs and provides knowledgeable assistance to help customers select the correct products to serve these needs.

Promotes the Company’s reliability, its service programs and advantages of the Company’s products and new product promotions in order to seek opportunities to make add-on sales and increase Company revenue.

Consults on and accepts phone orders and verifies all order information for accuracy which includes customer information, payment methods and related information, shipping information for inventory status, special instructions if required and order status to ensure prompt delivery for complete customer satisfaction. Notifies customer of any delays as needed.

Follows guidelines and procedures for establishing Power Card accounts.

Checks order status in the computer to assist customers inquiring about their orders, researches and resolves customer issues as needed or forwards inquires on to other appropriate Company personnel.

Recommends enhancements to procedure related order management, on-line functionality and product information to supervisor. Also, recommends qualified customers to supervisor to potentially receive wholesale pricing.

Participates in all events such as sales meetings or trade shows as determined by the management team.

Remains informed on all new and existing products carried by the Company by studying Company catalogs, reading Company product memos and sales marketing notes, vendor bulletins, announcements, other appropriate material and attending seminars as needed.

Handles all types of customer correspondence in a professional and efficient manner.

Takes the initiative to remain informed of the Company’s overall mission utilizing input from our customers and awareness of competitors offers.

Keeps management team informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.

 Performs related work as apparent or assigned. 

Job Requirements


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school education or equivalent, plus at least one year of college or related technical training preferred.

1-3 years of sales or related experience.

Good administrative and clerical skills, including PC experience.

Clear and pleasant voice, good enunciation, and concise telephone manner.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel and others.
