II. POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Vice President Ambulatory Surgery Centers, the Administrator is responsible for overall administrative management and operation of the facility. The Administrator shall monitor the adequacy and quality of the facilities medical activities through coordination with the Governing Board, Professional Standards Committee, medical and nursing staff and shall participate with the Board and corporate office in charting the course the facility is to take in response to developing needs of the community.III. VI. POSITIONS SUPERVISED: VII. QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION: 1. Bachelor’s degree in related field2. Masters degree preferred B. EXPERIENCE: 1. Five years experience in medical administration with responsibility for administrative supervision. C. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:Specify any requirement for a license or certification that must be possessed by an applicant to be eligible to be considered for the position. Examples are LVN license, RN license, Social Worker license, Emergency Medical Technician certification, CPA, etc. Also indicate any preferred certifications/licenses. D. EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:1. Knowledge of financial principles used in facility administration2. Marketing3. Strategic Planning4. Strong communication, managerial, and organizational skills5. Ability to maintain a strong relationship with internal and external customers E. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Office setting with a forty-hour (+) workweek. Work includes pressure generated by deadlines, peak workload periods and frequent interruptions.2. Work includes moderate lifting; carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, reaching and sitting; manual dexterity; speech, visual, and hearing acuity. Includes intermittent periods of computer operation.
