Golden 1, California’s leading credit union, is seeking a full-time management professional to join the Project Management team at our Headquarters in Sacramento, California. The Project Management Office Manager will successfully lead initiatives, increase organizational flexibility/agility and, ultimately, deliver effective results by: leveraging his or her extensive experience with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), research techniques, program and project management skills, and strategic planning processes and methodologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, overseeing, managing, and delivering enterprise-wide project management initiatives and business analytics for the credit union. The position’s primary responsibilities include: directing and coordinating a team of enterprise project managers and enterprise business/statistical analysts; assisting in strategic and operational project management; leading and managing the tactical and strategic formation and refinement of end-to-end project and service management frameworks; and maintaining excellent communication with all levels of management across the credit union to ensure that projects run smoothly and effectively and that business reviews, analytics, and projections are conducted professionally, efficiently, and accurately.

Salary is DOE.

Job Requirements

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, accounting, statistics, management information systems, or computer science
  • At least five years of project management experience (including direct supervision of employees) with an emphasis in research, analysis, budgeting, and planning
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, including technical writing experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and services Desirable skills and qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing a project management office
