Job Description

We are currently seeking a Cell Culture Associate.  This is a biotechnology, laboratory, warehouse and office setting.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Performs all duties of Production Assistant as needed


  • Performs a variety of production tasks (e.g. preparation of bulk solutions, media preparation, filling and labeling of vials under sterile conditions, aseptic manipulation of cell cultures) in strict accordance with company quality system, standard operating procedures, and cGMPs


  • Executes daily schedules to ensure safe and timely completion of releasable products


  • Completes and reviews Production Batch Records and associated documentation in a timely fashion


  • Troubleshoots processing problems, bringing unusual problems (i.e., potential deviations) to the attention of the supervisor; executes own daily workload schedule and relevant resource requirements


  • Assists in the implementation of production procedures to optimize manufacturing processes; participates in the transfer process of new products to production


  • May participate in plant trials for evaluating process modifications or new technology or equipment


  • Other areas of responsibility include maintenance, preparation and operation of equipment/components for work tasks, and sanitization of aseptic processing and filling rooms and maintaining familiarity with federal and international regulations pertaining to manufacturing processes.



Job Requirements


  • Must be able to work weekends as this position requires work on Saturday and Sunday


  • This position requires an ongoing commitment to upgrading knowledge, job skills and abilities in addition to competency related to all duties and responsibilities listed above


  • At minimum, an Associate’s degree Biotechnology or Life Sciences or at least 2 years relevant work experience in pharmaceutical, laboratory, or scientific environment


  • Strong observational and documentation skills and proven attention to detail


  • Ability to maintain consistency through day to day assignmentsMust be able to work aseptically


  • Trainability; critical thinking; organization; planning; problem solving techniques


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills



This is a full-time, salary position that requires working both Saturday and Sunday with

scheduled days off during the week.
