Exciting Opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager in Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials industry


Due to growth of our business within the pharmaceutical clinical trials industry, we are now seeking a Project Manager on a full-time basis, reporting to the Senior Project Manager. The role may involve domestic and international travel.


This is an exciting opportunity for a college graduate, preferably life sciences, although not essential for the right person.  More important is the need for someone with experience in the respiratory clinical trials arena.


An Assistant Project Manager must be familiar with the way in which clinical trials are run, and have experience with GCP and SOPs. One main criterion of the successful applicant would be the ability to prioritize, organize and distribute the work to be completed. Applicant should be computer literate, technically inclined and have good grammatical/proof reading skills. They must also have the ability to communicate clearly & effectively at different levels.


Our requirements are a little unusual in that we are a spirometry equipment manufacturer that provides a range of niche state-of-the-art products and services, including centralized data collection and data management. We do not run the complete study - only the provision of the diagnostic equipment and electronic data capture. The project management team ensures that all aspects of our involvement in a study are run to specification, time and budget.


Aspects of an Assistant Project Manager may include:

  1. Preparing:
    1. Project plans
    2. Risk Assessments
    3. Presentations
    4. Study specific manuals
    5. Study specific SOP’s
    6. Training plans
    7. Software specifications
    8. User acceptance test plans
    9. User acceptance test cases
  2. Weekly teleconferences
  3. Traveling to and preparing for Investigator training sessions
  4. Maintaining and tracking inventory for a study

Job Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelors degree preferably Life sciences

4 years experience in project management preferably in a highly regulated industry

Extensive experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook

Creating and giving Presentations

Understanding of GCP/ICH regulations
