Automotive Service Advisor

Job Description

Service Advisors greet customers, listen to the description of problems and services needed on their automobile, determine the type of services required, and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the added cost and contact the customer for permission to do work. They also advise customer on other available services. Service Advisors also handle the administrative and customer relations function of the service department. Their work influences the customer satisfaction and their willingness to do business with the dealer again.

Job Requirements

* Must have 2 years Automotive Service Advisor experience
* Must be driven to meet sales objectives
* Must have excellent customer service skills
* Ford experience a plus
