Job Description

Our client located in Mt Holly NC, has just created a new position and is looking for a Purchasing Administrator. They need a hand on purchasing professional to support their consumer division. Your primary responsibilities will include placing purchase orders to fulfill internal office ,  customer requirements and maintain appropriate finished good inventory levels, and expedites deliveries; Recommend bills for payment by verifying packing slips against purchase orders; verifying bills from suppliers against quotes and purchase orders; submitting bills for payment to Accounts Payable; Sustains competitive product pricing by negotiating merchandise costs; selecting supplier to provide products; comparing costs for historical reference; Resolves pricing discrepancies with vendors; follows up on delivery and quality issues and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.​


 


Job Requirements

 High school degree, additional college work a plus


 3 plus years purchasing administrative support


 Strong negotiation skills and understanding of purchasing processes


 Understanding of inventory control processes


 Must have experience working with large ERP systems, JDE or SAP


·  Can do attitude, willing to do help out side of job description


 Efficient with MS Office and Excel
