Job Description

We are looking for Drug Manufacturing Technician who will be responsible for proper maintenance and operation of drug manufacturing equipment. Accurately weighing raw materials and active ingredients and combining them into a blend. Keeps the equipment and facility clean and in a state of good repair. Participates in the completion of work orders, including batch record documentation per cGMP (current good manufacturing process). Accurately follows and completes documentation with minimal errors or corrections. Completes training, including cGMP and safety training in a timely manner. Must be able to work alone or in a team and can follow procedures exactly. Bachelors degree in a scientific related field or equivalent experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Manufactures diagnostic assay components. Manufactures in highly regulated specialized facilities using complex equipment and systems. Manufacturing and related activities must be documented with a high degree of accuracy and completeness. Applies GMP; Bioburden reduction; and safety procedures. Maintains multiple manufacturing certifications within the same area. Applies technical expertise developed to support problem resolution and process improvement. Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor. Organizes and adapts daily/weekly activities to meet assigned manufacturing schedule. Assumes full accountability for quality and accuracy of processes; procedures; and documentation performed. Works with minimal supervision on well defined tasks. Functions collaboratively in group settings. Supports or assumes lead roles in area activities/teams. Highlights potential compliance or safety issues to area management; providing recommendations for corrective or preventive actions. Cultivates relationships with coworkers; supervisor; and internal customers. Able to communicate technical and operational information inside and sometimes outside of immediate area of responsibility. Uses technical writing skills to provide reports and documents. Takes initiative to be involved in team activities and decision-making. Occasionally participates in meetings within and/or outside of team. Acquires and shares knowledge and experience to support continual development of self and others. Support achievement of departmental initiatives and goals. Occasionally leads or provide strong supportive role.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess Bachelor's degree with typically 2+ years of experience in a related technical discipline or 6+ years related experience (operations; manufacturing in a GMP environment). Experienced in production scale fermentation processes.
