Position Summary

 

The Technical Lead is responsible for leading project discussions, designing application architecture, and supervising development and implementation teams with respect to quality and system assurance. The Technical Lead is familiar with all of the technologies involved in implementations and have direct experience with successful implementations of Manufacturing or Quality Management Systems. Technical Lead also understands project management and all stages of SDLC formal project methodology.

 

The Technical Lead is primarily responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following duties:

 

  • Project Leadership creating solution and component designs that leverage company software, company recommended 3rd Party software, and company recommended Best Practices
  • Project Development Team Lead - Tech Leads are mentors, advisors, and quality supervisors for Development teams
  • Writing of detailed design documentation based on customer requirements and specifications
  • Designing, Configuring, Developing, and Testing of User Interfaces and System Interfaces based on detailed design documentation
  • Providing technical and solution leadership during integration testing and issue resolution.
  • Participate in end user review sessions, factory acceptance testing, and post development support
  • Communicate with the team and project managers to provide input in order to keep the project within scope, on time, and to monitor any changes to the detailed design specifications
  • Provide estimates to complete or Project Change Order estimates of effort
  • Provide knowledge transfer and directed training of domain knowledge to customers and partners
  • Exhibit professionalism in all aspects of his/her duties
  • Insure excellence and quality of work based on company methodology and standards
  • Stay up to date with the development tools and technologies related to his/her role
  • Attend company provided training, and self-train, on company tools and products
  • Apply knowledge of company tools and products in order to optimize the use of standard features and functions and reduce custom coding where possible

 

 

Job Requirements

 Technical Lead Required Skills:

 

  • Technical Project Team Leadership experience.
  • Quality Management or Manufacturing Systems experience in an implementation/development leadership role.
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)/Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) implementation experience

 

Five (5) years, or more, of practical experience in custom software design, User Interface design, and System Interface programming using the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and implementing the following programming languages.

 

  • C# (required)
  • Visual Basic
  • JavaScript
  • AJAX controls
  • Windows Communication Foundation

 

Two (2) years, or more, of practical experience, including setup and maintenance, using one (1) or more of the following database programs:

 

  • SQL Server
  • Oracle

 

Working knowledge of the following related technologies:

 

  • Microsoft Software
  • Microsoft Windows 2008 and Windows 7
  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Standard SQL
  • XML / XSLT
  • Web Services
  • WCF Services

 

Integration experience with one or more of the following:

 

  • ERP solutions
  • HMI/SCADA
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Quality Management Systems
  • Laboratory Information Management Systems
  • Learning Management Systems
  • Product Lifecycle Management Systems

 

Two (2) years, or more, of practical experience in web design and development using the following languages and tools:

 

  • ASP.NET
  • Web Parts
  • AJAX
  • Windows Workflow
