Job Description

We are recruiting for a Plan Analyst to establish and set-up pricing and plan parameters in the pharmacy practice systems to support PharMerica client contracts and 3rd part plans and monitors the LTC400 pharmacy product file database.  Working closely with the Clinical Program team to administer the formulary and with the Inventor Management team to manage the product database. 

Essential Functions:

  • Set-up and maintain client pricing and pharmacy coverage parameters in the pharmacy practice systems.
  • Conduct research and provide information to internal partners on client pricing and coverage set-up.
  • Analyze the client request and determine the best operational approach and perform set-up.
  • Validate accuracy to ensure no financial impact or client dissatisfaction.
  • Conduct research and provide information to internal partners on client pricing, coverage set up and product file questions.
  • Manage all FDB updates to ensure the integrity of corporate drug and formulary files.
  • Provide product file administrative support to the Clinical team.
  • Provide consultation and expertise to internal partners.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate with the administrators of the other product file databases such as SCS, QS1 & RxExact platforms.
  • Conduct research and provide information to internal partners on product details such as pricing, package size etc.
  • Validate accuracy to ensure no financial impact or client dissatisfaction.
  • Research issues and recommend solutions.
  • Provide consultation and expertise to internal partners.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field required.
  • MBA, CPhT desired.
  • 1+ years of healthcare experience required.
  • Long Term Care, Pharmacy Practice Management System setup, Healthcare Billing, Retail Pharmacy Tech, Insurance and/or PBM experience desired.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external customers. Microsoft office products required.
  • Knowledge of claims processing system or pharmacy practice system desired.
