PPAP Coordinator – quality, automotive, part approval, documentation
A growing corporation supplying formed and machined automotive components is continuing to increase sales and expand their manufacturing operation. They expanded the plant twice in the last 5 years and continue to invest in new lab technology and manufacturing equipment. Due to increased sales, they are seeking a new team member in their quality department. Our client offers good benefits and possible career advancement for the right candidate. The position could lead to a Quality Engineer or Assistant Quality Manager position.
We are searching for a PPAP Coordinator to lead the production part approval process. This position will prepare documents and submit PPAP documents to their valued customers. Interested candidates will need experience conducting gauge R&R’s capability studies. Experience preparing, gathering and assembling customer required documents for a level 3 Ppap is needed. Knowledge of metrology, sampling and Ppap core requirements is needed. The Ppap Coordinator will ensure team members documents and complete customer required FMEA, control plans, ECN, material records and supporting data.
The ideal candidate will have direct experience preparing PSW, product samples and supporting data records. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key to success. Candidates will need solid computer skills using MS Office products and customer portals.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 3 years of experience preparing and submitting level 3 ppap packages. Knowledge of GR&R, capability studies and required ppap elements is a must. Past experience preparing control plans, PFMEA and work instructions is preferred.
