Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Practice Operations manages the day-to-day operations of the Medical Foundation. This position manages the employees and workflow to ensure that patient needs are optimally met. This position provides oversight and guidance to staff to maximize efficiency and develops processes that improve the workflow. Manager of Practice Operations promotes teamwork with providers and employees to create a cohesive, effective team that meets the standards of patient care delivery. Manager of Practice Operations assures compliance with State, Federal, and ValleyCare policies and regulations. In addition, the Manager of Practice Operations may be assigned a key major initiative, project or assignment.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or business is required. The equivalent combination experience and education may be substituted. Experience: Previous experience managing employees in an office environment is required. Previous management experience in healthcare is preferred. Knowledge: Familiarity with basic management fundamentals. Working knowledge of the budgeting process and budget management. Knowledge of office workflow and processes. Knowledge of the principles of COI and problem solving techniques. Special Skills Equipment: Proven leadership skills are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language are required. The ability to motivate and train adults. Skills in tracking, trending, monitoring and reporting. Organizational skills are important for this position. The ability to implement policies/procedures/protocols. Skills in developing teamwork among members of a multidisciplinary team. The ability to work independently and manage time and workflow to meet deadlines. The ability to pay attention to detail is important. Skills in the use of office equipment. Computer and software skills are a must for this position. AHA BLS for the Healthcare Provider certification required.
