A dynamic and growing manufacturing company is seeking to recruit a Spring Maker who will set up and operate one or more manual spring coiling, wire forming, press or secondary machines to fabricate coil springs, rings or wire forms from wire according to blueprints, setup instructions and work instructions.
Job Responsibilities include:
Evaluating customer information for review of manufacturability.
Determines costs and provides quotations to customers.
Reviews blueprints and instructions to determine the setup procedures to follow, machine adjustments required, and stock to use.
Selects machine attachments, such as taper cams, wire size block, coiling point, pitch tool and cutting tool, according to a blueprint or setup chart and installs them on the machine.
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma and at least three years related experience in the spring industry as well as have knowledge and use of Di-Acro hand benders, knowledge and use of Carlson Winders, knowledge and use of Richard’s Bender to make flat stock parts and knowledge and use of kick presses. Candidate must have experience in making parts manually with hand tools.
