Founded in 1995, Foundations Recovery Network (FRN) quickly established itself as a premier organization for providing integrated treatment for persons with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.  FRN offers a continuum of care including outpatient services and residential programs in Nashville & Memphis, TN, Malibu, Santa Monica, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Palm Springs, CA and Atlanta, Sautee & Roswell, GA.  The FRN treatment model is grounded in motivational interviewing and the trans-theoretical model of change while also incorporating 12-step philosophy.  Our evidenced based model has achieved remarkable and measurable outcomes while gaining national recognition for our exemplary programs.


FRN is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager, to plan, manage and coordinate the human resources activities within the designated treatment center.  On a day-to-day basis this individual will partner with management to communicate and administer the various human resources policies, procedures, laws and government regulations; respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints; process bi-weekly payroll; oversee the recruitment, interview and selection process for entry level, professional and technical position openings within area of responsibility; administer employee benefit programs such as group insurance, life, medical and dental, accident and disability, 401(k) retirement programs and PTO plans for employees with the designated treatment center and much more.  This position will be located at Foundations Recovery Network’s, The Canyon in Malibu, CA.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in human resources.
  • Payroll processing experience required.
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Business office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Due to the nature of our business i.e. 24/7 operations, must have flexibility to work hours outside of typical business hours.
  • Must be able to read, write, sit, stand and walk.  Position requires a lot of work on the computer requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
  • Strong knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required.
  • Strong knowledge of progressive discipline & root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of payroll practices and processing required.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and wage and hour regulations
