Job Description

Farmers Insurance Group is built on a long history of quality customer service, which starts with our agents and their staff. Our Farmers Insurance Simi Valley District Office is currently searching for an Administrative Assistant to directly assist the District Recruiting Director to help find quality candidates and ultimately expand our District operations.

 

As a Recruiting Assistant with Farmers in our Simi Valley office, your primary mission will be not only to assist the Recruiting Director to coordinate and implement all active and passive recruiting tactics already set in our District, but to also help devise effective and unique recruiting strategies to proactively cultivate agent, agency producer, customer service, and marketer candidates in our market area.

 

Your professional business acumen coupled with excellent communication skills will be critical to your success in this role. Extensive resume reviewing, weekly job board posting, candidate follow-up and outbound call responsibilities will be the main focus of this position. Meticulous attention to detail is essential as you will be responsible for reviewing multiple resumes for the District Recruiting Director.

 

Our office believes that talent can come from many different areas, and to that end we are open to people interested in a career or industry change from various professional backgrounds. Your web-savvy and networking skills (such as social media, involvement in career fairs, and community outreach) will help ensure your success in finding candidates either very familiar with the insurance industry or brand new to the concept.

 

Job Requirements

Other office responsibilities may include:

 

1.     Systematically assisting the Recruiting Director with post-interview contact and follow-up of candidate pipeline.


2.     Sorting and disbursing all incoming agent and District mail, and maintaining confidential records including all FFS (Farmers Financial Solutions) securities files.


3.     Following company protocol when assisting with requested agency termination tasks and all Do Not Contact maintenance.


4.     Assist with material prep and overall planning of District meetings and events such as promotional payoffs, awards presentations, holiday and District social events, and March of Dimes Be a Hero for Babies Day. 


5.     Support District Manager, District Training Director, and District Recruiting Director by helping with any additional requested tasks.

  

 

Requirements

College degree and/or commiserate business experience preferred.

Exceptional communication skills required.
