Job Description

InterCoast Colleges is seeking dedicated and energetic individuals who believe in non-degree and degree education and short term training. Currently we have a position available for Director of Admissions. The position is available for our Fairfield location.

This position requires extensive communication with Vice President of Admissions, each Admissions Representative, prospective student, both on the telephone and in person. The DOA provides prospective students with information about our programs, including entrance requirements, curricula and academic standards. The Director of Admissions will also follow-up on with all prospective students before and after the enrollment process, and will make consistent contact by phone with inquiries to schedule appointments for admissions interviews; thus the admissions representative spends approximately 40% of his/her time making outbound follow up calls and contacting new inquiries who email the campus requesting information on the school. Other duties include providing campus tours to prospective students and enrolling students who meet eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities also include complying with governmental regulations, standards of accreditation, and the Admissions Department Policy and Code of Ethics as they relate to enrolling students. The Admissions Representative must utilize an approved telephone presentation and career planning presentation during the enrollment process. Admissions Representatives refer all financial aid related questions to the financial aid professional who also works at the campus site. The Admissions Representative is supervised by the Director of Admissions.
 

Job Requirements

Requirements

A college degree is preferred. Training or experience in public speaking and prior counseling, customer service or business experience, either in or out of the education industry, is highly desirable. Must enjoy helping people and be able to work well as part of a team. InterCoast is looking for individuals who have a high energy level, and is excellent at motivating others. Intangible sales background and training skills are a plus.
