Field Service Engineer for Analytical Instruments


My client is a world leader in the manufacturing and service of scientific and analytical instruments.  (Particle technology related...sizing, prosity, density, surface, etc.)  As they experience continuous growth, they are seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals to join their service team.

Responsibilities:
This position will be based in the No. NJ or New Engalnd area  with responsibility for supporting customers located throughout  the Northeast region.  Travel is expected to be 40%.

This position might also conduct supplemental travel into other territories from time to time.
The duties include the Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of instruments in the assigned region to board and discrete component level of subassemblies, as well as instrument installations.

My client offers a base salary of $57,000, a yearly incentive, an outstanding benefits package, company car , all expenses, and an opportunity for professional growth within the organization.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
Good communication skills and strong customer service skills are a must for this position
Direct experience in the analytical instruments field is a plus or the ability to learn the technology.
This position requires a highly motivated individual that is capable of completing assigned tasks with little to no supervision.
The ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment and tools for repairs is a plus.
 
 

Qualifications:
B.S. in electronics engineering, chemistry, physics or another technical discipline or equivalent.  An Assoc. with relevant work experience will be considered.
Four years experience in the calibration, troubleshooting and repair of analytical instruments or similar technologies
