Job Description

Job Summary    

 

Leads the ERP application development team, responsible for delivering solutions focused on the information needs of Molina’s corporate functions, including Corporate Administration, HR, Finance, Project/Portfolio Management and other areas.  Responsibilities include requirements, design, delivery and support of solutions using custom and ‘off-the-shelf’ technologies.

Essential Functions        

• Manages team of application engineers/programmer analysts to translate business/system requirements and/or design specifications into reliable, efficient, high quality code that produces expected business outcomes.  

• Provides day-to-day technical management of department staff

• Mentors and provides coaching and feedback to team members – applies technical knowledge and experience to develop the skills/competencies of team members

• Communicates effectively with business stakeholders to elicit requirements, offer insights, facilitate/participate in governance processes and deliver results.

• Manages key external vendor relationships and Molina stakeholder relationships.

• Provides project management for application implementation, integration, and enhancements.

• Provides management of support activities (break fix, operations, and small requests) and project delivery to meet established service levels.

• Applies technical expertise to perform code reviews to optimize designs, improve reliability and performance and reduce defects

• Manages key vendor relationships.

Job Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have well rounded background/experience in both IT Consulting and Corporate IT environments. Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse experience is a must. Applicants must have Oracle BI (OBIEE) experience. Managerial experience required.


     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities          

    • Staff and project management skills – experience assigning tasks to team members and adjusting work assignments to balance workloads, resolve competing priorities and deliver results

    • Experience includes hands-on JDE application development experience as well as having managed JDE application development teams, including remote/offsite development, responsible for project delivery and application support

    • Applies experience to develop technical effort estimates and organizes team members to resolve challenging technical problems

    • Experienced in the design, implementation, upgrade, migration and support of:

    • JDE EnterpriseOne Release 9.0 in MS SQL and Oracle DB environments, Specifically in the Finance, HR, Payroll and ESS/MSS areas

    • JDE Tools Release 9.1.

    • Oracle SOA Suite

    • Primavera EPPM

    • Experienced integrating JDE with other business applications using various integration strategies

    • Fluent in and applies knowledge of service management concepts (Incident/Request/Problem/Change/Release) to meet objectives

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Experienced with testing tools and test automation to reduce delivery time

    • Excellent issue identification and resolution skills

    • Ability to abide by Molina’s policies

    • Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work

    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

    • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers

    • Communicates and collaborates effectively with peers, subordinates and leadership across business and IT functions

     

    Required Education: 

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.

                                                                                                                

    Required Experience:     

    7 years managing mid to large-systems application development preferably in the health plan industry

    7 years delivering and supporting large scale ERP applications

    Design, delivery and support of Oracle-JDE EnterpriseOne (Release 9.0) solutions

    5+ years delivering, implementation and supporting BI/DW/Reporting solutions

    5+ years experience with Oracle BI (OBIEE)

    5 years HR/Finance applications.             

     

    Preferred Experience:

    • Significant experience delivering and supporting ERP/Project Management  solutions for the corporate functions of a Fortune 500 organization, including HR, Finance, Project/Portfolio Management, Facilities, Legal and related areas

    • Significant experience delivering and supporting ERP/Project Management solutions in Oracle/JD Edwards ERP environments and Oracle/Primavera (OPPM, EPPM) environments

    • Experience using service oriented integration tools including Oracle Fusion Middleware/Oracle SOA using BSSV / Business Services for JDE E1 integrations and other integration methods

    • Experience delivering and supporting BI/DW/Reporting solutions and Infomatica

    • Experience with reporting and template builder tools including Oracle BI Publisher and Create!Form
