Job Description

Interviews: Face to face the morning of the December 26th 2014 only. A portion of the interviews will be conducted in Spanish.

Must be able to start on January 1st, 2015. Candidates will begin work pending their background checks and they must pass in order to maintain their position.

MUST BE: BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH, computer savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Products, an excellent multitasker, detail oriented, a great critical thinker, creative, enthusiastic, and be able to communicate professionally, friendly, and clearly.

Best vs. Average:

Best: Bilingual (Spanish / English) with at least two years of the following experience: Health Plan experience, sales experience, face to face customer service experience, and a natural on computers.

Representatives will report to the Moreno Valley Mall assisting during open enrollment/Marketplace, opening/closing the store in the mall, greeting customers, screening and assisting individuals with the applications process for Covered California and Medical. Mall hours vary so all candidate must be flexible to work any 4 – 8 hour shift between 9:00 am-10:00 pm.

Upon hire individuals will be certified for Medical and Covered California, client will provide the training, training materials, and the certification process. Individuals must pass test in order officially begin the position because certification is required.

Job Requirements

    Essential Functions: To assist in successfully completing the Medi-Cal and Covered CA training and certification process. Duties include screening and enrolling prospects into the Medi-Cal and Covered CA programs. Ensure all prospects understand the benefits associated to being a member. Reach performance enrollment goals.
    • Assist in directing customers to the appropriate department(s).
    • Answer incoming calls and provide information to member.
    • Assist in navigating the website to identify a network provider.
    • Ensure adequate inventory level of Company materials; coordinate with Community Outreach Coordinators for restocking.
    • Ensure store opens and closes in a timely manner and adheres to Shopping Mall hours.
    • Ensure that all material displays contain adequate supplies for the day.
    • Maintain a daily log of visitors entering store, what information was requested, and how they were assisted.

    Participate as a team player by demonstrating support to peers, management and other department’s goals.

    • Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

    • Assist with training of new employees as needed.

    • Work with internal and external Departments.

    • Knowledge of Managed Care Plans (Medi-Cal, Covered CA and Medicare)

    • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)

    • Previous experience preparing reports and charts; appropriate grammar usage Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (at least Intermediate Level), Word and Access (desired)

    • Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule

    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers

    Required Education: High School Diploma Required Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
