Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller

The selected Accounting Manager will be responsible for providing the leadership to manage a company-wide accounting and consolidation function and maintain a complete financial reporting service for both domestic and international activities.  

The Accounting Manager will be responsible to manage the completion of the month-end close within established timeliness; review and post monthly journal entries prepared by the staff and senior accountants; manage timely and accurate preparation of monthly account reconciliation and analysis of all balance sheet accounts; maintain the general ledger chart of accounts; review quarter-end audit work papers, prepare reports/schedules for Controller and CFO as well as BOD, as well as work on several key strategic projects.  Will have oversight of all consolidated financial reports, SOX compliance and external audits.

Job Requirements

·          Candidates should have at least 5-10 years of hands-on work experience including experience in a large size business.  Public accounting and/or CPA preferred.


·          BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required 


·          Experience in a corporate accounting setting with exposure to public company requirements (SOX, etc.). 


·          Strong General Accounting skills and GAAP knowledge with experience in month end close through to financial statement preparation.  Consolidations experience preferred but not required.


·          Proficiency in all MS Office applications, and advanced knowledge of Excel and a major ERP system such as SAP or Oracle required.


·          Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under quarter close deadlines. 


·          Candidates must have excellent communication skills (oral and written), the ability to interact with all levels of management through the organization and the initiative to get the job done. 


·          Must be a dedicated, team player looking to succeed and grow with the company and Accounting department. 


·          Must be a self-starter requiring little supervision or direction and at the same time be able to provide supervision and direction to one's staff.


·          CPA is a plus, but not required.
