Regional Sales Manager Mid-Atlantic

This is a homebased position.

Job Purpose

Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops and implements agreed upon Marketing Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base within the territory.  Works within the sales, marketing and product management support teams for the achievement of revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

 


Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the sales of medical transcription technology and outsourcing services provided exclusively to the healthcare industry.

-Develops qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling to hospital managers, direct mail, email, and networking.

-Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.

-Develops annual territory and business plans in conjunction with Vice President of Sales, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year that will focus the Regional Sales Manager on meeting or exceeding sales quota.

-Cultivates relationships with Account Managers and current customers to find and develop revenue opportunities for incremental same store growth.

-Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects’ business problems, the effects of the problems, and the company’s proposed solutions to their business problems.

-Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of SalesLogix to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.

-Maintains contact with customers in the assigned territory to develop references, cultivate incremental revenue opportunities and contribute to high levels of client satisfaction.

-Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.

-Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.

-Participates and contributes to the implementation and training offered to clients and prospects.

-Performs other duties as assigned.

-Decisions regarding personal time management to maximize sales productivity.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent additional experience

Experience:

Four (4) or more years sales experience in the healthcare industry.  Dictation, clinical documentation and medical transcription related experience preferred.

Knowledge / Skills
-Demonstrated excellent technical selling skills and product knowledge including the ability to sell healthcare technology and service solutions to large, complex organizations and a proven ability to achieve sales quotas
-Thorough understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
-Thorough understanding of dictation and medical transcription technology, pricing and proposal models.
-Willingness to travel and work with a global team of professionals
-Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, prospects and coworkers
-Strong presentation skills including ability to make presentations to clients
-Demonstrated ability to maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values including the ability to build trust, value others, provide excellent customer service, and collaborate with others
-Demonstrated ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and to proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments including, but not exclusive to, marketing, product management, legal, finance, accounting and account management.
-Demonstrated high integrity including the ability to adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
-Critical thinking skills including the ability to drive execution, foster innovation, and solve business problems creatively
-Computer literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn the SalesLogix syste.
