Applies diversified knowledge of Hardware Repair Engineering/Networking/Servicing principles, practices, implementation and support. General responsibilities include, working on customer instruments/platforms, supporting instrument maintenance, participating in technical/business reviews, involvement in demonstrating, testing and implementing new products. Troubleshoots issues to determine root cause and identifies possible solutions. Focus on improving customer satisfaction in all interactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
With minimal supervision, installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts Ventana instruments at a customers site.
Travels with and assists in the training of new Engineering Specialists.
Disassembles malfunctioning instruments and examines and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
Replaces or repairs defective parts.
Communicates with customers and Ventana regarding status of dispatch, problem resolution, etc.

Requirements
Formal Training/Education:
Associate Degree in Engineering/Computer Discipline and 3 years relevant experience or 6 years equivalent experience demonstrating troubleshooting and repair of electronic, mechanical, or computer devices..
Experience:
3 years relevant experience or 6 years equivalent experience demonstrating troubleshooting and repair of electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possesses and Applies advanced troubleshooting skills to include: Identifying the most probable cause of a problem, making the corrective action, verifying the corrective action yielded positive results and if necessary, escalating any unresolved problems to the appropriate personnel.
Understands and applies a disciplined troubleshooting methodology when interfacing with customers on advanced technical issues.
