IT Analyst - ER Department

ED/EMS Information Analyst – Permanent Hire - Responsibilities:

• Emergency Department looking for an “ED/EMS Analyst"  to assist TIS with coordination, development and clinical support of the ED/EMS computer systems.

• Will participate in all phases of software support and problem determination

• Will assist with implementation of new vendor software systems, vendor software changes and maintenance of systems according to departmental/institutional standards and guidelines.

• Will integrate clinical practices and policies into technical solutions.

• Responsible for keeping TIS and end users informed during all phases of projects.

• Must have knowledge of clinical processes, a basic understanding of Information Systems and technology

• Must have excellent analysis and problem solving skills.

• Ideal candidate will have worked in an ER and Emergency Department with ER based applications and/or Emergency Medical System software

• EPIC experience would be a Plus

   

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years experience in Emergency Department with understanding of Emergency Medical is Services is required.

• Candidates must have basic knowledge of computer software and hardware Microsoft applications, Windows, PCs, etc.

• Works well with a variety of end users in clinical and non-clinical areas.

• Analytical and/or technical skills necessary to interpret and integrate complex medical related documentation and/or applications and apply information systems disciplines to the problem solving process.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education:

Ideal candidate will be a Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
