Description
iod incorporated, a leader in release of information services for medical records departments, seeks a full-time credentialed District Manager to manage assigned accounts and personnel for the medical records department of our clients.
This position reports directly to the Regional Manager or Regional Vice President. The District Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, productivity, quality, employees, and clients within the greater Milwaukee area. The District Manager works in cooperation with all iod corporate staff, field staff, and clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for the sound operations and profitability within the geographical region so as to achieve or exceed revenue and EBIT targets.
2. Act as liaison between company and client communicating changes with technology, staffing, standard operating procedures (SOP), breeches, and results of quality assurance reviews.
3. Responsible for reviewing all financial and operational reports in a timely manner to ensure comprehension and accuracy.
4. Responsible for supporting and implementing all company initiatives at assigned facilities.
5. May travel between assigned facilities to fulfill duties within the Medical Records Department.
6. Works with the Regional Manager and/or Regional Vice President to maximize efficient operations within assigned facilities.
7. Responsible for all aspects of employee supervision including interviewing, hiring, training, management, evaluation, and disciplinary actions, including termination.
8. Ensures all original documents for newly hired employees are sent to company’s HR department.
9. Ensures all paperwork for evaluations, terminations, changes, etc. are completed properly and promptly and sent to company’s HR Department.
10. Conducts counseling sessions and makes probationary and/or termination decisions when necessary with input from direct supervisor and corporate HR Department.
11. Ensures staff follows all company policies as stated in the company handbook, company intranet, or communicated by management.
12. Responsible for following all company policies and procedures as posted on the company intranet, or communicated by management.
13. Responsible for upholding security and confidentiality regulations, and facility policies and procedures for access and review of all medical records.
14. Perform quality reviews and site evaluations according to service agreements.
15. Ensure proper coverage at facilities in the instance of vacation or illness.
16. Coordinates new account start up in conjunction with Regional Manager or Regional Vice President.
17. Establishes and maintains contact with new clients upon receipt of signed agreement to ensure proper account installation and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Two year degree in Health Information Management or 3 years experience in healthcare field preferred.
RHIA or RHIT credential Preferred
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Previous medical record experience required.
Minimum 2 years experience in management.
Excellent client and customer relations skills required.
Must have access to reliable transportation and must be able to travel on short notice.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
Ability to pass a annual introductory HIPAA and Advanced HIPAA examination.
(Testing to be given annually in accordance with employee review.)
Must be able to pass a background check.
