BIOMARKER SCIENTIST

Advion BioSciences is a leading provider of bioanalytical services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and an innovator of products for the life sciences. We are currently seeking a Biomarker Scientist I to join our team in our corporate headquarters facility located in Ithaca, NY.

This Biomarker Scientist I builds on past experience, skills and personal attributes of an accomplished bioanalytical scientist. The position involves applying analytical skills to assist in the development and implementation of profit-generating biomarker assays. The understanding of chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation, development/validation of methodology, wet-laboratory sample extraction, interpreting of data, interacting with clients, and working to objectives/timelines are integral to this position. The position may also involve assisting with the application of validated methods to routine sample analysis and to direct studies from clients from method development through validation and sample analysis. Manage intra- and inter-organizational relationships to ensure timely completion of projects in accordance with customer specification. Communicate with clients throughout project life to advise of status and to maintain excellent customer relationships. Maintains lab equipment, supports lab safety, and complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.

Interested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science and with 1 or more years of bioanalytical chemistry experience is preferred.  Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with clients and achieve results through collaborative efforts with others. Experience in GLP quantitative analysis laboratory preferred.
