Application and Data Architect

Responsibilities:

• Interface with data consumer groups to understand and document their requirements
• Work closely with business analyst to capture all low level business rules
• Architect and design complete end to end solution using .NET/SSIS/SQL Server technologies which meet the requirements of the data consumer groups and obey the business rules defined by the business analyst
• Develop working prototypes for the solution, which can then be handed over to other developers either local or overseas for completion
• Define test cases for proper functional and performance testing of the final implementation
• Interface with developers both local and overseas, assess their progress and provide input as needed

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, at least 12 years of software engineering experience with at least three years as a software architect.
• Prior experience working with overseas teams
• Prior experience working as a team lead
• At least five years hands on experience on the .NET platform preferably using C#/ASP.NET
• Proficient in using Microsoft Visio for drawing sequence diagrams, component diagrams and other UML diagrams
• Proficient in data modeling using either MS Visio or Erwin data modeler
• Proficient in T-SQL/MS SQL Server 2005 programming; understand the inner workings of the SQL Server Query Processing Engine
• Prior experience working with SSIS ETL packages
