Description
A Client Services Supervisor for iod incorporated may travel between certain hospital locations or be assigned to one hospital location, to fulfill duties within the correspondence department of Medical Records. The Client Services Supervisor will assist the District Manager in the efficient operation of assigned accounts. A Client Services Supervisor will train and oversee employees in assigned accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for upholding security and confidentiality regulations, company policies and procedures, hospital policies and procedures for access and review of all medical records.
2. Responsible for training and orientation of employees.
3. Makes recommendations for methods to increase productivity.
4. Assist in meeting regional revenue goals on a consistent basis.
5. Comply with all release of information related functions as stipulated in service agreement.
6. Assist in selecting, interviewing, hiring and terminating employees.
7. Participate in counseling sessions of site personnel and makes probationary or termination recommendations when necessary.
8. Responsible for properly training release of information staff in company and facility specific functions.
9. Distribute workflow to site personnel.
10. Performs quality reviews and site evaluations as required by clients.
11. Assist in evaluations of employees.
12. Ensures supplies are available at designated facility.
13. Responsible for meeting facility revenue goals on a consistent basis.
14. Prepare month-end reports on the first work day of each month and distribute.
15. Responsible for submitting company-related travel expense reports and original receipts to manager in a timely fashion.
16. Performs any and all related duties as assigned or requested by Manager or Director of Client Services.
17. Answers day to day questions posed by iod incorporated clients and the Health Information Management positions.
18. Provides input into the review and revision of site procedure.
19. Attends mandatory employee in-service meetings and/or training sessions, if so directed.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
20. Reports to work as scheduled and complies with Attendance Policy.
21. Expected to frequently use the following equipment: Microfilm reader, typewriter, calculator, copy machine, computer terminal, phone (with voice mail), fax machine, and other general office equipment.
Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED is required. (Must be from an Accredited Institute recognized by the State Dept. of Education.) Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language. Experience in a medical records or health care setting would be beneficial. Medical Terminology class is strongly encouraged.
Passing annual Introductory HIPAA and Advanced HIPAA examination. (Testing to be given annually in accordance with employee review.) eoe/m/f/v/d
