Medical Records Site Supervisor/Team Leader

 

We have an immediate opening for a qualified Medical Records Site Supervisor/Team Leader who will oversee the Release of Information team at local hospitals and clinics in the Yonkers and Westchester, NY area.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise site and up to 10 employees with duties such as time management, hiring, training and quality assessment

  • Interact with and handle requests submitted by a variety of entities such as individuals, doctors, attorneys and insurance companies

  • Provide support to all company operations including preparing, scanning and uploading by computer medical requests, authorizations and medical records in accordance with HIPAA

  • Provide the hospital and customers with complete professionalism and customer service support daily

Requirements
  • High school diploma and 3+ years of specific Medical Release of Information or administrative and/or clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, emergency medical, dental, pharmacy or hospital environment that includes supervisory and customer service functions

  • Ability to type 40+ WPM and be willing to learn new computer technologies

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, the internet and the ability use a custom software application

  • Must be conversant about HIPAA and HIPAA-related issues

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral, diagram or schedule form

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone and before groups of customers and employees of the organization

  • RHIT or RHIA certifications desired
