Manager, Corporate Clinical Education & Training  (Job ID: 135 CM)

Position Summary: 

The Manager of Clinical Education and Training will be responsible for leading in the development of the curriculum and for delivering high quality, effective clinical training to internal and external customers, including physicians, radiologists and clinical staff.  The qualified candidate will be able to quantify extensive demonstrated experience as a clinical educator and manage the Training Institute for a major medical device company and function as the lead Clinical Educator for the company.  There will be a significant preference for a candidate with experience setting up and managing a formal in-house training process for surgeons within corporate headquarters.  You will also function as on-site support for demonstrations, evaluations and installations throughout North America (and occasionally internationally). 25% Travel should be anticipated.


 
Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and deliver effective clinical training programs for company products and the diagnostic imaging techniques for which they are used.
  • Work alongside sales and clinical colleagues as a back-up for field support when business needs are at peak, traveling to manage on-site demonstrations, evaluations and installations at hospital and imaging sites.
  • Develop training programs as part of the product development process for 1) Physicians 2) Clinical Staff 3) Company Employees
  • Maintain and generate documentation in compliance with FDA regulations as it relates to the clinical training function.
  • Develop and deliver training that enables company employees to conduct business Insure that the company is in compliance with regulatory (OSHA/Federal/Local) requirements and corporate standards.
  • Develop and manage business relationships with laboratory and workshop facilities for off-site meeting
  • Develop clinical guides and comprehensive manuals for use in training customers to use the proprietary medical imaging products.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Clinical Advisory Board Members, and utilize them as faculty in the clinical training programs.
  • Provide demonstrations of imaging products in the workshop/lab environment in conjunction with sales team and field service engineer team-members
  • Manage a budget for the delivery of clinical training and sales lab workshops, as well as operating expenses associated with the Surgical Lab facility.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree required; RT or RN preferred.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have a Clinical background, RN or RT certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience developing and delivering clinical training.
  • Knowledge of and experience with regulatory (OSHA/Federal/Local) requirements.
  • Must be a results oriented – team player – people person.
  • Must have and exhibit excellent presentation skills in small and large group situations.
  • Must have a strong ability to establish direction and motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent computer skills required; proficient user of MS Suite – including PowerPoint.
