MS/Ph.D.-level Industrial or Environmental Microbiologist

• Implement and maintain Microbiological QC systems and activities, equipment and procedures, support of production and facility activities, staff development and project management.
• Ensure assays are validated to meet cGMP requirements, and provide QC testing services to internal clients, in support of process development, manufacturing, and stability evaluation.
• Oversee the training programs of all site staff in microbiological techniques used for aseptic processing.
• Author trending reports of Environmental monitoring data for the manufacturing area and utilities.
• Implement the Corporate Microbiology policies at each manufacturing site.

• MS degree in Industrial or Environmental Microbiology with at least 7 years of industrial work experience or a Ph.D. with at least 2 years of industrial work experience.
• Strong fundamental and working knowledge of bacterial impact in clean room environments.  Ability to identify issues with bacteria in clean room environments.  
• Experience in performing and closing investigation and / or manufacturing reports, trending, and corrective actions.
• Ability to recommend changes in clinical agents and make critical decisions in an independent manner on a daily basis.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with an ability to train others and interact with health authorities (FDA and EU).
