Description
MUST HAVE at least 5 YEARS of Analysis experience for a HEALTHCARE company.
The Healthcare Evaluation Consultant assumes responsibility for the design and creation of analytic and evaluative projects which measure or quantify the impact or effectiveness of clinical programs. This role consults with program stakeholders to improve the design and evolution of healthcare quality programs; and as is instrumental in assessing program impact and value.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and lead the creation, implementation and evaluation of clinical programs by designing, measuring and monitoring clinical process and outcomes measures, and establishing performance goals and standards.
2. Interpret needs and specifications in creating analytical reports which fulfill corporate initiatives as well as obligations to employer groups, physician groups, or as requested by management.
3. Develop programs or queries to retrieve and analyze data for projects, program, or reports requiring sophisticated inferential techniques.
4. Using knowledge of grouping or stratification tools (e.g.: ETGs, ACGs, DxCGs, APR-DRGs) or methods, develop disease or health risk-based identification, stratification, or adjustment methodologies and algorithms.
5. Apply statistically sound analytic methods within program and projects.
6. Work across facilities analytic and technical units to define business requirements necessary to support these program performance measurement and evaluation activities.
7. Under the direction of management, provide consultation to program owners in their oversight of external programs or vendors to assure accurate and timely implementation of reporting, analytic, or evaluation components vital to facilities programs.
8. Support the administration or project management of program or projects falling under the department’s purview.
9. Provide analytic leadership in the design, implementation and analysis of healthcare programs.
10. Consult and make recommendations to create and improve analytical reports to fulfill corporate initiatives as well as obligations to employer groups, physician groups, or as requested by management.
11. Develop analytic programming or queries to implement clinical measures such as HEDIS or AHRQ.
12. Consult to program owners to improve their oversight of external programs/vendors.
13. Provide administration or project management of analytic work falling under the department’s purview as needed.
