We have immediate opportunities for part-time - Medical Billing and Coding Instructors UEI College campus in Huntington Park, CA.

Requirements Primary/Essential Duties And Responsibilities

•Teach one or more subjects within the MBIC curriculum; recommend changes regarding textbooks and other aspects of the curriculum.
• Prepare and deliver lecture and lab demonstrations as outlined in curriculum.
•Facilitate class discussions.
•Directly supervise daily activities and tasks of students.
•Promote skills through demonstration and repetition.

Essential Skills And Experience

•A minimum of 5 years experience in medical or hospital coding.
•National certification – preferably through the Medical Association of Billers.
•Professional affiliations with one of the following organizations:
AAPC – American Academy of Professional Coders
AHIMA – American Health Information Management Association
Professional Health Care Office Managers
Medical Group Management Association
HBMA – Healthcare Billing & Management Association
AMBA – American Medical Billing Association
NEBA – National Electronic Billing Alliance
