Clinical Systems Programmer/Analyst

  

At UCLA, one of the nation’s top health systems, we provide a state-of-the-art environment in which IT professionals solidify their skills and move forward in their careers. Right now we have an opportunity available for a Clinical Systems Programmer/Analyst to develop and support business reports, applications and integrated systems that will enable us to implement efficient and effective electronic workflows throughout our health system.  In this role the PA will utilize a variety of tools, Crystal reporting, programming languages and technologies and will collaborate with other analysts to proceduralize programming methodologies, support integrated testing environments; assist with security assessments and monitor overall effectiveness of developed solutions.

  

To qualify you must have experience in applications development, integration and support across a variety of relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle and SQL), operating systems (e.g., SUSE Linux, Solaris and Windows) and web environments (e.g., Apache, IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere and SOAP). You also must have programming experience in multiple languages and tools, including Java, .NET, ASP, JavaScript, Perl, C++, SQL, JBuilder, WebSphere Studio, Adobe Acrobat, uPortal, XMLSpy, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports and SharePoint Designer. A deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and security related to web services is crucial, as are exceptional communication, team-working and multitasking skills.
