JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sales Trainer will report to the Director of the Sales Support team and will design, develop, and drive the implementation of a formal sales training program. The ideal candidate will have direct sales and sales training experience in the healthcare/software/technology industry. The Sales Trainer will require significant multi-tasking and willingness to take on various training and sales support responsibilities as assigned. There will be ample and exciting opportunities to grow with the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create training materials and design effective curriculum to speed the productivity of new sales hires.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Operations and Sales Support subject matter experts to schedule and execute training sessions.
  • Investigate and utilize new technology to deliver training in more efficient ways; remotely via web delivery/webex, ongoing computer-based self-training modules (CBT), etc… Incorporate training into quarterly and annual corporate events; sales meetings, company-wide meetings, etc…
  • Work with client Training resources to leverage training materials across departments, including incorporation into programs for all new hires, client training classes, etc…
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Business, Marketing, Communications, Adult Edu., Nursing, etc…
  • Clinical Professionals with experience training or utilizing healthcare information technology as a client or on the vendor side are also encouraged to apply.
  • 2 years of direct sales experience in a related field; software or technology, technology services, medical or industrial technology.
  • 2-5 years experience in corporate training and curriculum development.
  • Ability to translate technical information into understandable material for a variety of audiences, including; sales teams, clients, professional services, product management and development.
  • Knowledge of Sales Performance International process or a closely related solution selling sales methodology.
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce.com, Siebel, etc…) and experience with a sales proposal/quote software (Big Machines, etc…)
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent writing and proofreading skills are required.
  • Ability to understand business strategy and key purchasing drivers to create effective training materials.
  • Experience in supporting a direct sales team and strong project management and organizational skills.
  • High initiative, strong work ethic, technical inclination, and a willingness to wear many hats
  • Quick learner and able to self-train and pick up new skills as necessary.
