Job Overview of Coding supervisor / Medical Coding supervisor:

The Coding Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the coding manager in planning and organizing the clinical reimbursement area in the HIM Department.

Job Requirements of Coding Supervisor / Medical Coding Supervisor:

Qualifications required: 

• RHIA, RHIT or CCS credential with 2 years of DRG validation experience required
• 3 + years coding experience in an Inpatient acute care setting
• Thorough knowledge of AHA Coding Guidelines
• Comprehensive knowledge of the MS-DRG/APC structure and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency with 3M Encoder/Quantum
• Practical knowledge of clinical software helpful
