St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a premier center for research and treatment of potentially fatal childhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, and immunodeficiency disorders. The hospital's mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Senior Software Developer I or II (Job Number 17023).
The Senior Software Developer I or II in the Enterprise Informatics Department develops software to support object oriented software applications. Lead software coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and installation, and may be responsible for one or more of these components, as directed. Lead the designing of the system's graphical user interface. Assist with developing detailed specifications from which programs will be written for enterprise-wide systems. Develop the detailed specifications from which programs will be written for group level systems. Provide on-call support as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution.
Requirements
- Skilled in development utilizing Visual Studio .NET (preferably C#), JavaScript, XML, XSLT, SQL Server 2005 required.
- Proficient in the use of common software engineering principles and object oriented development required.
- SharePoint (MOSS) development experiences a plus.
- K2 Black Pearl workflow development experiences a plus.
- Safari and Firefox browser compatibility experience on the Macintosh platform a plus.
- SQL Server 2008 integration services and data warehousing experience a plus.
- Team Foundation Server experiences a plus.
Sr. Software Developer I - Minimum experience required:
- Bachelor's degree, 4 years of experience in systems development required.
- Master's degree, 2 years of experience in systems development required.
Sr. Software Developer II - Minimum experience required:
- Bachelor's degree, 6 years of experience in systems development required.
- Master's degree, 4 years of experience in systems development required.
Sr. Software Developer Level I or Level II will be designated based upon education and experience of selected candidate.
