Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Deputy Delivery Manager to join our team in Palo Alto, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include directing both the day-to-day infrastructure support activities and associates, and the program management of the strategic direction for the account as it relates to infrastructure technologies.
The Infrastructure Deputy Delivery Manager will be a key leader in the infrastructure leadership team and is expected to grow into/act as a backup for the Infrastructure Director. Deputy delivery manager will have accountability for delivery of specific infrastructure services on one of Perot Systems' largest and most strategic healthcare accounts. Responsibilities include: strategic planning/goal setting, escalation and resolution of delivery issues focused on improving customer satisfaction. He/she will facilitate account driven project requirements by documenting the requirements and working with the appropriate organizations to establish solutions and budget to fulfill requirements. The deputy delivery manager also acts as a point of escalation for the account. Other regular activities performed include collecting financial information and performing analysis /variance reporting and communicating throughout all levels of the organization. It is expected that the Deputy Delivery Manager will have a good working knowledge and understanding of the contract between Perot Systems and the client, and understand the client's business drivers to the appropriate extent.
This key position is responsible for day-to-day operations management and meeting service level (SLA) commitments for our client’s network, server, desktop, help desk, security, access control, disaster recovery, and storage infrastructure. The manager will lead a matrixed team including local dedicated and remote leveraged staff, using best practice methodologies, processes, and tools. Serves as a strategic advisor on infrastructure to the Perot COO/CEO and the client's office of the CIO.
This position will also be responsible to interface with senior executives including the head of Clinical Informatics, the Chief Medical Informatics Officer and directors and VPs of various hospital departments.
Required Skills:
10+ years infrastructure management experience
5+ years recent healthcare experience
10+ years leadership experience
Strong leadership, judgment and presentation skills
Must be able to deal with high volumes of work through prioritization and delegation
Client relationship skills at director and executive levels
Very strong communication skills to a broad range of audiences including technical staff through hospital executives
Project management knowledge and experience
Financial reporting and forecasting experience
Desired Skills:
1-2+ years matrix management
Leadership training
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
ITIL Certification
