Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a VISTA CLINICAL IMPLEMENTATION SENIOR SPECIALIST to join our team in INDIA.
This role is a full-time salaried position (not a contract). This role will require the qualified candidate to travel to the country of India to work for around 90 days then return to the United States to work for 1 to 2 weeks or take vacation days (4 trips per year). The qualified candidate must have a valid passport and must be physically able to travel for a very long period of time via airports and other means. While working in India, an apartment or hotel will be provided by Perot Systems.
Job Responsibilities:
To evaluate, configure and implement VistA in large hospital environments, working as part of a team delivering the full VistA IT solution and clinical change.
The Senior Specialist level will evaluate user requirements for the VistA Clinical Application and translate those needs into defined user assessment plans used in determining end-user or technical needs
Defines cost and time estimates for implementation projects
Analyze hospital data and support the collection of data necessary for system configuration
Prepare the initial VistA system configuration necessary to support future state workshops (workflow analysis) with hospital staff in at least one of the following areas: Registration, ADT, Scheduling, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, CPRS, Imaging
Provide support as an application specialist to Clinical Transformation staff during future state workshops, collecting data to refine and finalize the necessary system configuration
Demonstrate system functionality and configuration to hospital staff
Develop and provide material to support system user training
Define and document acceptance criteria to support system signoff
Develop acceptance test scripts
Support the development of training material working with the Training Manager to develop solutions for delivering appropriate training to end users
Required Skills:
Experience deploying the VistA clinical application
Detailed knowledge of VistA functionality, configuration
Experience of providing training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to hospital staff to facilitate system usage and sustainability after delivery
Working knowledge of hospital environment, departments, and practices
Desired Skills:
VistA implementation experience at a Veterans Healthcare facility
Experience as a clinical consultant in a role requiring extensive travel
Any clinical certifications or degrees are desirable (RN, RPh, RPhT, Radiation Technologist, Medical Technologist, etc.)
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree desired, or appropriate years of experience with implementing the VistA healthcare clinical application
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
Clinical certifications are desired (ex: Registered Pharmacist, Certified Laboratory Technician, Certified Radiology Technician)
